FAMILIARITY BREEDS COMTEMPT.

Or, the more people know about you, since you are not a perfect human being, might backfire in the end. I am seing this over and over again right now.

In the wannabee writers group blogs, they think the more people know their name, and the more social connections they have on line, the more successfull they are going to be...

Forgetting priority number one, WRITING. If they can't write or spend half their day chatting about it, they look like fools, and I would not buy their publication if anything ever gets published not the reverse.

Comment on Female bosses - your opinion?

Hey, that was interesting,

I think that on most occasions a female boss is equal to a male boss and very understanding, but you always get a feminist boss somewhere who will try to make your life hard if your not a woman,

Sometimes they just get made ego trips,

Keep up the good work

Comment on Job seekers: How to see competitors' resumes

Very interested in your information - as I am in the tunnel of transition

melo

Comment on What NOT to do with social networking

I couldnt agree more! I am in the market of moms and one of the biggest turn offs for moms is when thier time is wasted. Social sites that allow advertisers to blog information about products loose alot of credibility in the mom market. It is almost insulting to think that moms don't see right through these tatics.

Comment on Explain this to me like I'm a 5 year-old

hi i still can not believe its you from the show. i think you get this a lot so ill stop there. the real reason i wrote this email is that you and the show kept me up all night while i should be studying for a Finance final. thanks...
but i just ran into your website and will check up on you so keep the good news coming.

sing

Comment on The Real "Power Lunch"

That's a very ingenious effective method to get a real feedback for employees and everything is based on trust. Once your employees gain trust, you don't really need "power lunches" to get an honest talk to them, they will come to you and the overall communication will become a lot better.

Comment on Startup Junkies Episode 1

Natalee,

Love the show. As a recent Computer Engineering grad interested in start ups, this show gives a good primer into problems and internal dynamics of a start up. It gives an interesting and informative cross section of the process.

Although at first I dismissed the idea of Earth Class mail as remotely interesting, quickly I began to see how unique and revolutionary it has the potential to be.

I just wanted to say Kudos! and best of luck with the company and In case you're hiring any Software/Hardware engineer, I would love to get an interview.

Comment on The Real "Power Lunch"

transformational leadership has to be defined in context. Different groups of people would need a different kind of leadership, it should be more situational. So a group of construction workers will not respond same as a group of office workers.

Comment on The Ultimate Question to Predict your Growth

I’m doing research on how exactly NPS marketing is going to help out my company. When your employees know they'll get a straight answer from you, they'll respect you and have confidence in you, which is what leadership is all about.
